Description of the Lake: Alum Creek Lake is a 3,000-acre lake, having over 68
miles of shoreline to offer. Alum Creek Lake is located just north of Columbus Ohio,
and most anglers make the trip here in search of both large and smallmouth bass, as
well as muskie and saugeye. The lake also has healthy populations of crappie, catfish,
bluegill and white bass. Heavy forage surrounds most of the lake, making bank fishing
a little tougher at Alum Creek Lake. There are areas around the lake with access
points for those that prefer fishing from the shore. Fallen timber, rocks and bluffs are
the primary cover for baitfish and fish in this lake. Kayaks and canoes can be
launched at several locations around the lake and there are 6 boat ramps for putting
in large watercraft.
