Description of the Lake:
This 5,200 acre lake is located just north of Brookville, in the southeastern part of the
state. There is excellent fishing in Brookville Lake for a wide variety of species. At over
17 miles in length, there is ample water for fishing, boating, swimming and water
sports. This is a great place for family vacations with plenty of camping and lodging
options.

he fishing season is year-round.
Spring:
Spring is the best time for crappie, largemouth and spotted bass.
Summer:
This is a good time for bluegill as well as bass.
Fall:
Fall it a great time for spotted, and largemouth bass as well as crappie. Other species
can also be caught.
Winter:
Winter months are the best times for walleye, and a good time for largemouth, and
spotted bass.

03/10/19 The most pursued species during this time of the year are bass -
largemouth and spotted bass. They can be caught during the cold winter
months. They are generally found in the deeper water of creeks channels, as
well as both submerged and above water river ledges. We recommend using
deep diving crankbaits and jigs with trailers at this time of the year. .
