Bass are being caught early and late in the day on topwater lures. Shallow running
crankbaits and jerkbaits are also working early mornings around cover. Plastic worms working
during the day 8 to 15 foot deep along dropoffs and around cover,.Bream and sunfish is
good early and late in the day on popping bugs. Crappie fishing is slow. White bass are
caught when schooling on shallow running crankbaits and jerkbaits. Strippers are caught
when found shooling on topwater lures and jerkbaits.

Description of the Lake: Lake Claiborne is a 5,800-acre lake with over 40 miles of
shoreline. Loacted in the north central part of Louisiana, near Homer, Lake Claibornw is a
dream destination for anglers. Rental boats, cabins and campgrounds provide ample
resource to stay for those fishermen looking to make a trip to this lake. Most anglers that are
in pursuit of fish in this lake are going for big bass, but there are many other fish species in
the waters of Lake Clairborne. Crappie, catfish, stripers, sunfish, bowfin and gar are some of
the fish that those fishing these waters will come across. Half a dozen boat ramps scatter the
area, as well as multiple other places that will provide access for canoes or kayaks. There
are also several fishing piers and docks that allow acess for bank fishing, if you prefer that.
