Both largemouth and spotted bass, are being caught early and late in the day on
topwater lures. Shallow running crankbaits and jerkbaits are also working early mornings
around cover. Plastic worms working during the day 8 to 15 foot deep along dropoffs and
around cover,.Bream and sunfish is good early and late in the day on popping bugs. Crappie
fishing is slow. White bass are caught when schooling on shallow running crankbaits and
jerkbaits.

Description of the Lake: Lake D'Arbonne is a 15,200- acre lake in North Lousiana, near
Farmerville. The lake has over 100 miles of shoreline that much of is accesible for bank
fishing or fishing from boats. Local fishing guides are avaliable to help make the fishing
easier on this lake, they provide the boat which can be helpful for those who do not have
their own water craft. If you do have a boat, there are half a dozen boat launch ramps
avalible to the public. These plus many other acess points also can provide a place to stick in
a kayak or canoe. Lake D'Arbonne has large populations of bass, crappie, catfish, sunfish
and bream.
