09/20/19 Fishing Report for Lake Fork: (See Fishing Report Archive at bottom of page)  
Both
largemouth and spotted bass, are being caught early and late in the day on topwater
lures and buzzbaits. Shallow running crankbaits and jerkbaits are also working early mornings
around cover. Plastic worms working during the day 8 to 15 foot deep along dropoffs and
around cover,.Bream and sunfish is good early and late in the day on popping bugs. Crappie
fishing is slow. White bass are caught when schooling on shallow running crankbaits and
jerkbaits.

Description of the Lake: Lake Fork (Lake Fork Reservoir) is a 27,000-acre lake located in
the north central part of Texas, near a town called Emory. This reservoir is known for lunker
largemouth, along with giant catfish. There are over 300 miles of shoreline with plenty of
access for bank fishing, complete with points, humps, channels, and ledges. White bass,
crappie, and hybrid stripers typically run in packs chasing bait fish and can be caught in
almost all areas of the lake, from surface water to deeper river channels. Lake Fork is
teeming with submerged timber, brush, man-made attractors, hydrilla, and boat docks which
provide plenty of cover for all fish. Be catious of fallen timber in the lake as it can make
navigating a boat hazardous, so caution is the word of the wise. There are plently of boat
ramps located around the lake if you do decide to launch your boat. Gas access.

05/31/19 Largemouth bass fishing is very good. Bass are being caught on
worms near the creek channels ledges and the grass lines. White bass fishing
has been good. Bream and sunfish are being caught on poping bugs.
