05/25/19 Lake Harris Chain Fishing Report: (See Fishing Report Archive at bottom of
page) Bass are taking top water lures around heavy cover in shallow water early morning and
very late in the day. Jigs rigged with worms are catching good numbers of bass by flippin
them near heavy cover in 2 to 6 feet of water. Bluegills and shellcrackers are being caught all
over the lake in shallow water on popping bugs and tiny spinners and jigs.

Description of the Lake:
The Lake Harris Chain of Lakes is located immediately south of Leesburg, Florida. Harris
lake is a 13,800-acre area with over 40 miles of shoreline for fantastic fishing. Bank fishing is
accessible from many areas. Bass, striped, crappie, sunfish, chain pickerel, and gar all reside
in this lake.
