09/21/19 Lake Istokpoga Fishing Report: Bass are being caught early and late in the day
on topwater lures and buzz baits. Shallow running crankbaits and jerkbaits are also working
early mornings around cover. Plastic worms working during the day 4 to 10 foot deep along
dropoffs and around cover,.Bream and sunfish is good early and late in the day on popping
bugs. Crappie fishing is slow.

Description of the Lake:  Lake Istokpoga is a 27,700-acre reserviour that sits in
central-southern Florida, about 5 miles east of Lake Placid. This lake is ten miles long, five
miles wide and has an average depth of four feet, with the deepest area being ten feet deep.
The most common fishing of lake Istokpoga is for largemouth bass, black crappie, bluegill
and redear sunfish.

cover is working for the bass. During the early mornings and late afternoons,
top water lures and buzz baits are working on the bass. Bluegill and sunfish are
taking popping bugs readily.
