09/22/19 Fishing Report for Lake Latt: (See Fishing Report Archive at bottom of

 Largemount and Spotted Bass are taking top water plugs early mornings and near
dark. Jigs with trailers around heavy cover will also get them. Buzz baits work early and late
as well. Deep diving crankbaits work in deep water. Bluegill and sunfish are taking top water
poppers early and late. Crappie is slow. Stripers can be caught on our large jointed
crankbaits cast or trolled when found schooling.

Description of the Lake:
Lake Iatt covers 6,600-acres and is known for its largemouth bass, bream and crappie
fishing. It is located in the north-central part of the state, 5 miles east of the little town of
Colfax, LA. There is over 60 miles of shoreline. The lake is lined with cypress trees and
vegetation that provides shade and cover for the game fish and baitfish. Canoes and kayaks
are an ideal watercraft for fishing the vegetation-choked backwaters here. You are not
allowed to use a motor.
