Description of the Lake: Lake Lewisville is located in the North Dallas area. This reservoir
is 30,000-acres, offering over 230 miles of fishable shoreline. This lake supports high
numbers of fish, it's almost a fishing paradise. White bass and crappie get most of the
attention, but bass fishing is what the locals spend most of their time on. Lake Lewisville also
holds high numbers of catfish, sunfish, gar, stripes, and hybrid striped bass. You can find fish
in this lake by first locating schools of baitfish. There are lots of cover for fish in the lake,
such as; standing timber, brush, aquatic vegetation and docks. Crappie tend to hang around
brush and vegetation. You will find white bass, hybrids and stripers in these areas, following
schools of baitfish. Batfish are typically in the shallow water in spring and fall, then finding
deeper water for the winter and summer months.
