06/26/19 Fishing Report for Lake Meredith:  


Description of the Lake: Lake Meredith offers over 100 miles of shoreline, tempting
anglers that are searching for a huge variety of fish species. This lake is the body of water
that holds the Texas state-record walleye. The lake is over 16,000-acres, and is located in
the north-central part of the state. Crappie, sunfish, white bass, walleye, trout, and bass are
some of the species that reside in this fishery. Rainbow trout are stocked in this lake, making
it a unique enviroment to fish. Much of the shoreline is steep, vertical walls, so bank fishing
must be done with some care but can be very rewarding. There are quite a few boat ramps
located around the lake, and canoes/kayaks can be put in from several locations around the
lake.
