09/23/19 Fishing Report for Lake Milton: (See Fishing Report Archive at bottom of
page) Smallmouth and Largemouth bass are taking top water lures early mornings and
near dark. Jigs with trailers around heavy cover will also get them. Buzz baits work
early and late as well. Deep diving crankbaits work in deep water. Bluegill and sunfish
are taking top water poppers early and late. Crappie fishing is slow. Muskie can be
caught on our large jointed crankbaits. White bass can be caught on in-line spinner
baits.


Description of the Lake: Lake Milton is a 1,700-acre lake located 10 miles west of
Youngstown, Ohio. Lake Milton offers 22 miles of shoreline, which is greatly populated
with boat docks and brush piles, providing an excellent feeding ground for the fish that
inhabit this lake. Lake Milton supports all fishing styles- whether you prefer to fish from
a boat, or the bank. Some of the species that are in this body of water include bass,
walleye, perch, muskie, crappie, white bass, and catfish. All boats are permitted on
Lake Milton, there is no horsepower restrictions. There a several boat ramps should
you decide to put in watercraft

Spring:

Winter months are the best times for walleye, and a good time for largemouth, and
spotted bass.

03/10/19 The most pursued species during this time of the year are bass -
largemouth and spotted bass. They can be caught during the cold winter
months. They are generally found in the deeper water of creeks channels, as
well as both submerged and above water river ledges. We recommend using
deep diving crankbaits and jigs with trailers at this time of the year. .
