Spotted and Lagemouth Bass are taking top water lures early mornings and near
dark. Jigs with trailers around heavy cover will also get them. Buzz baits work early and late
as well. Deep diving crankbaits work in deep water. Bluegill and sunfish are taking top water
poppers early and late. Crappie fishing is slow. Walleye fishing is slow. White bass can be
caught on our in-line streamers. Stripers can be caught schooling on our shallow running,
segmented crank baits.

Description of the Lake: Sam Rayburn Reservior (Lake Sam Rayburn) is located in the
central part of Texas, near Broaddis. With over 740 miles of shoreline, it is a fantastic fishery
for largemouth bass. Lake Sam Rayburn also offers species of fish like; crappie, catfish,
hybrid strippers, white bass, gar, bowfin, and several types of sunfish. There are many public
areas that are accessible for bank fishing, along with over 20 boat ramps for launching.
Aquatic vegetation, standing/fallen timber, and brush are the most common cover for the fish
in Sam Rayburn Reservior.

06/30/19 Largemouth and spotted bass are being shallow water cranbait, plastic
worms rigged Carolina or Texas style and top water lures late in the day and
early morning.. Crappie are still being caught in deep channels 6 to 10 feet
deep on jigs. White Bass are being caught on single spin spinnerbaits and jigs.
Sunfish (bream) are being caught on popping bugs early and late in the day.
