05/22/19 Lake Talquin Fishing Report: (See Fishing Report Archive at bottom of page)
Bass fishing is still excellent. Fish early and late in the day in shallow water under 4 foot deep
near cover but near deeper water. Buzz baits, top water lures, and spinner baits are working
good. Bluegill and sunfish are taking popping bugs in shallow water.

Description of the Lake:
Lake Talquin is located 10 miles west of Tallahassee, Florida. This 9,800-acre lake has an
average depth of over 68ft. Lake Talquin is surrounded on the southern, and southwestern
shores by Lake Talquin State Park. Lots of aquatic life reside in this lake, inculding aligators
and snakes.
