Description of the Lake: Lake Taneycomo is located around the eastern borders of
Branson, MO. At about 2,000-acres, Taneycomo is home to some killer fishing. The
lake is located between Table Rock Lake and Bull Shoals lake. Although Lake
Taneycomo much smaller than these two lakes, it still has excellent fishing. While Lake
Taneycomo is most famous for it's abundant brown and rainbow trout, this lake is any
fisherman's paradise because it holds massively diverse fish species. Due to the cold
and heavily nutrient rich waters of the White River, this lake is capable of holding fish
of both great quality and quantity. Crappie, bass, sunfish, walleye, and catfish are also
favorites that anglers like to search for in this lake. Boats would be considered an
advantage when fishing this lake, as public shoreline access via the bank can be
difficult to find.
