Lagemouth Bass are taking top water lures early mornings and near dark. Jigs with
trailers around heavy cover will also get them. Buzz baits work early and late as well. Deep
diving crankbaits work in deep water. Worms fished at 5-10 ft work. Bluegill and sunfish are
taking top water poppers early and late. Crappie fishing is slow. White bass can be caught on
our inline spinners.

Description of the Lake: Lake Texana is a 9,700-acre lake located in south central Texas,
at Ednda. This lake is strewn with tons of aquatic flora, provided cover and nutrients to the
fish in this water. Catfish and white bass and catchable in all seasons, along with other bass
and crappie. The fish in Lake Texana move around frequently depending on water temps
and conditions. In general terms, bait fish typically move to shallow water in the spring and
fall, then move to deeper water in winter and summer. You will find the fish you want to catch
feeding on these smaller, bait fish. There are multiple boat ramps on Lake Texana, and a few
areas accessible for bank fishing.

05/31/19 Largemouth bass are being caught on worms fish near the grass lines and pockets. Swim
baits are working well where the banks and cover is clear of grass. Frogs and Buzz baits are also
working. Bluegill and shellcrackers are being caught in good numbers on popping bugs. .
