Bass fishing is good during the winter months. Although both Largemouth and Smallmouth
bass are in the lake, the smallmouth is the prime species fished for during this time of the
year. Jigs with trailers and deep diving crankbaits are the prime lures used at this time.

Description of the Lake:
Tims Ford Lake is now for its big crappie and smallmouth bass but is home to many other
species. , The lake is a 10,500-acre TVA reservoir in the south-central part of Tennessee.  
Cabin rentals, camping and lodging are available around the lake. There are plenty of boat
ramps available for fishing boats, and there are many areas for portage of kayaks and
canoes. Fishing from the bank is limited but there are a few places it is possible. .

Summer:
This is a good time for bluegill, warmouth and sunfish as well as largemouth, spotted bass,
smallmouth bass, hybrid striped bass and striped bass.
Fall:
Fall it a great time for spotted, smallmouth and largemouth bass and crappie.
Winter:
Winter months are good for muskie, walleye, largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass.
