Fishing At East Lake Tohopekaliga, Florida

09/29/19 East Lake Toho Fishing Report: Lagemouth Bass are taking top water lures early
mornings and near dark. Jigs with trailers around heavy cover will also get them. Buzz baits
work early and late as well. Deep diving crankbaits work in deep water. Worms fished at 3-5 ft
work. Bluegill and sunfish are taking top water poppers early and late. Crappie fishing is slow.
White bass can be caught on our inline spinners.

Description of the Lake:
East lake Tohopekaliga is a 12,000-acre, circular shaped lake located about 4 miles east of
Kissimmee, FL. Large bass along with many other species of fish make this an ideal stomping
ground for any angler. Much of the shoreline is accessible for fishing, and fluctuating water
levels make fishing from the bank effective. The lake has a mixture of crappie, bass, sunfish,
gar, catfish, and chain pickerel. There is ample cover like brush, grass, and docks for fish to
hide under making them easy to find.
