Bass fishing is good during the winter months. Crappie are starting to bite good in the flats.
Bass are holding in creek channels, stump fields in about five to six feet of water. Medium  
diving crankbaits and jigs with trailers work with decent success..

Description of the Lake:
Due to its clear water, this one is considered a tough to fish lake for largemouth and Spotted
bass. Crappie are fairly easy to catch during the spring spawning season.
The spotted bass
often school and chase shad and during this time, can be seen hitting the surface.
Lake
Tuscaloosa, also called Tuscaloosa Reservoir, is a
5,900-acre reservoir located 5 miles
north of
of the city of Tuscaloosa in west-central Alabama. It has 177 miles of shoreline with
public and private
boat ramps. Canoes and kayaks can be launches at a number of
locations. Bass boats, john boats and pontoon boats are also used by anglers.
