Fly Fishing West Palm Beach, Boynton, Lake Worth, St. Lucie &
Jupiter, Florida

03/02/19 Fishing Report: (See Fishing Report Archive at bottom of page)
We had one report of tarpon caught at the inlets off the ocean. There have been lots of
bluefish caught along the beaches. There a few Jack Crevalle, sheepshead, barracuda and
ladyfish being caught s well. The action should really pick up soon as the weather warms.

Description of the waters:
The waters around Jupiter, Boynton Beach, Lake Worth, St. Lucie and Jupiter, Florida, are
blue and clear due to the warm Gulf Stream often sweeping in clear to the beach. The
Continental Shelf is still close to shore here, but as you move north to St. Lucie Inlet, it
widens out moving the clear, blue and warm water as much as 10 miles offshore. The shallow
water in this area can still provide some good sight fishing and surf fishing

With temps in the high 60’s and low 70’s and only slight chances of
afternoon thunderstorms, the fishing is remaining very good. Black Drum and
Sheepshead can be caught around seawalls and boat docks with a few Redfish
and Snook around also. A cold front and north winds are improving surf fishing
for Bluefish and Jacks.
