Attractor flies are flies that don’t necessarily imitate or resemble any specific creature found in nature but rather a variety of different types of frogs, minnows, baitfish, and other things smallmouth and largemouth bass eat. It’s mostly the action they provide that attracts the bass. Their appearance doesn’t necessarily match any specific thing. Ideally, you only give the bass a glimpse of the fly. If it sees the fly too well it may not eat it and of course, if it doesn’t see the fly at all, it certainly won’t eat it.
