The Great Gray Spotted Wing Sedge is mainly a western species that is a huge caddisfly. Its larva is the most important stage of life to imitate. The larvae are huge net-spinning caddis that are available to trout much of the time. The # 10 hook size insects make a big meal for a trout. They both hatch and deposit their eggs in the evenings.
