The little Brown Caddis is called the Little Brown Sedge in the West and sometimes, the Little Plain Brown Sedge. They usually emerge in the evening and deposit their eggs in the evenings. These caddisflies ride the surface of the water a relatively long ‘time during the emergence and during the egg laying activity. The Little Browns usually emerge in large quantities. They exist in streams from coast to coast. They are species of the Lepidostoma genus. There are numerous species of them.
