The Spotted Sedge is the most common caddisfly in the West. It is also called a Cinnamon Caddis by some. It is a net-spinning caddis that is readily available for trout to eat most of the time. It hatches all season long They emerge late in the afternoon or evening. The female deposit their eggs in the evenings.
