The “Dark Green Drake” or the recurvata species, included in the Litobrancha genus of the Ephemeridae family, is a large mayfly. This mayfly is found in the Mid-west in both lakes and streams with slower moving water. Normally, fishing this hatch requires that anglers fish after dark and into the night. They both hatch and deposit their eggs in the evenings. This one offers a large meal for the trout and imitations of it have been known to produce some huge brown trout.
