Pale Evening Dun

The Pale Evening Dun is the Heptagenia elegantulata and solitaria This common name can be used for several other mayflies. This is an important hatch that usually occurs in the late summer and early fall in western mountain streams. They are clinger mayflies that are found in fast to moderate water. Trout feed on all stages of these mayflies.
