There are two families of Little Brown Stoneflies, Nemouridae and Taeniopterygidae. Both have many species of Little Browns that are quite similar in behavior and appearance except that some are brown, some black and some almost red. Like most stoneflies the nymph is the most important stage of life to imitate.
