The Chocolate Dun and Olive Sulfer nymphs are small, crawler mayfly nymphs. They live
in moderate to fast flowing water that typically has a lot of vegetation. The Perfect Fly
Chocolate Dun and Olive Sulfer Nymph works best when it is fished just prior to a hatch.
These mayflies exist in the Mid-west and the Northeastern United States.
Presentation:
The best cast is usually an up or up and across presentation along the edges of the fast
water. You should always fish the nymphs near the weed beds. If you fish them in the
weed beds you are going to get hung up but you want to keep them close to the weeds
as possible.
The best way to do this is to wear polarized sunglasses and spot cast the nymph around
the week beds. Weight the nymph down slightly to help keep in down. You can use a
small strike indicator if you prefer.
