Landing nets not only make it easier for you to land a fish, they also make it easier on the
fish. Most fish, especially those ultra tired from being taken on very light tippets, need all
the help they can get to survive unaffected. Keeping them in the water while you are
releasing the hook is one key to good release technique. Choose the smallest one you
can get away with, landing net that is, not fish.
